Auto-scheduling
Reserve realistic focus time around meetings and working hours.
Auto-scheduling places estimated work into available calendar time. It uses the assignee’s working hours, connected-calendar commitments, time estimate, and minimum focus-block size.
Before enabling it

Turn it on
You can enable auto-scheduling on an individual work item. On supported plans, Settings → Account → Preferences → Automations can also enable it by default for newly created work.
When Maya is the assignee, FortyOne manages scheduling as part of Maya’s work flow. The manual switch is disabled to avoid competing scheduling owners.
Manual overrides
You can choose and lock an exact future start time. FortyOne shows conflicts but keeps that time fixed. An unlocked item can move when availability changes; a locked item stays where you placed it until you edit or unlock it.

Start with accurate working hours and estimates. Auto-scheduling cannot improve a plan built on missing or unrealistic duration data.
