GitHub
Link code activity and GitHub issues to FortyOne work.
The GitHub integration connects repositories to the teams that own their work. It can link pull requests, branches, commits, and issues without giving GitHub broader access to FortyOne.
Capabilities

Connect GitHub
- Open Settings → Integrations → GitHub as a workspace administrator.
- Select Connect GitHub and install the FortyOne GitHub App for the intended organization and repositories.
- Return to FortyOne and resync if a newly granted repository is not visible.
- Link each repository to the team that owns the corresponding work.
- Configure team-level GitHub automations only after confirming the sync direction and workflow-state mapping.
Members can also connect their GitHub identity from account settings so commits and pull requests are attributed to the right person.
Choose sync direction deliberately
Inbound-only sync keeps GitHub as the issue source. Two-way sync allows supported changes to travel in both directions. Test the mapping with one issue before enabling it for an active repository.
